Protecting Your
New Investment

Newly installed paver patio featuring a curved brick floor, a built-in stone fireplace, and matching retaining wall seating. Sealing this surface protects against staining and UV fading, stabilizes joint sand to prevent weed growth, and enhances the natural color and texture of the stone.

Don't Let Your New Patio Age Overnight

You wouldn't drive a new luxury car off the lot without waxing it. Protect your new hardscape from stains, fading, and weeds starting Day 1.

Should I Wait a Year to Seal?
Short Answer: No.

Your installer may have told you to wait 12 months to let the pavers "cure" or let the efflorescence (white salts) escape.

  • The Old Rule: This was true for old-school Solvent-Based Sealers, which trap moisture and salts, turning the pavers white.

  • The Modern Reality: Our breathable Water-Based Sealers are designed to be applied as soon as 30 days after installation. They allow the natural salts to escape through the sealer while stopping wine, oil, and BBQ grease from soaking in.

Waiting a year often means waiting until your first deep stain happens. By then, it’s too late.

Pro Tip

Schedule your estimate now. We can monitor the pavers and book your cleaning/sealing for exactly when that 30-day window opens—locking in the color before the first freeze or heat wave hits.

Why Early Protection Matters

1. Instant Stain Prevention

Concrete is a sponge. The first time a leaf falls and rots, or a burger drips grease, that mark is permanent on unsealed concrete.

2. Locking in the Joint Sand

The sand between your new pavers is loose. Rain and wind will wash it out, creating gaps where weeds instantly take root.

  • Our Solution: Our sealing process creates a "hardened shell" on top of the sand joints (stabilization). This locks the pavers in place and prevents ants and weeds from moving in.

3. Stopping the "Fade"

New pavers have vibrant, rich colors. The sun begins bleaching that color within weeks.

  • Our Solution: Our UV-inhibiting sealers lock in that "brand new" look, preventing the sun from turning your Charcoal pavers into faded Gray.

How We Treat New Hardscapes

We treat new installations differently than old restorations.

  • Gentle Cleaning: No heavy pressure washing that disturbs the new base. We use a soft-wash rinse to remove construction dust.

  • Efflorescence Check: We chemically treat any early-blooming white salts before we seal.

  • Breathable Application: We exclusively use microporous water-based sealants on new installs to ensure the curing concrete can breathe.

FAQ for New Owners

My installer put polymeric sand in. Do I still need sealer?

Yes. While polymeric sand hardens the joints, it does not protect the surface of the stone from fading or staining. Sealing adds the "shield" over the entire system.

Will sealing void my warranty?

Typically, no. In fact, major manufacturers like Unilock recommend sealing to protect the product. However, using the wrong sealer (like a cheap solvent) can cause issues. That is why we use manufacturer-approved water-based products.
